Residents' rights and dignity come first here, and care is provided using the least restrictive methods. A nurse is in the home every day.

What the work involves

Responsibilities shared by all staff, plus additional duties for nurses.

All staff

  • Supporting residents through the day at home, including shared meals.
  • Going out with residents on community outings.
  • Going with residents to their appointments.
  • Recording health and behavioral data accurately.
  • Respecting every resident's dignity, privacy and choices.

Nurses (LVN / RN)

  • All of the above, plus skilled nursing care.
  • Tube feeding for residents who cannot take food by mouth.
  • Catheterization and ostomy care.
  • Oxygen administration by nasal cannula.
  • Medication administration and management.
